Happy Halloween

To all my fellow Blogtoberees,

Can you believe that October is over already? And even more so, I managed to blog every day in October! I’ll tell you that it’s been a struggle on occasions but I’m so pleased I managed it.

I have learnt that I can’t do daily blogging on a continuous basis though. I’m going to stick to two or three posts a week from now on I believe.

Although, check back tomorrow as I have an exciting Giveaway coming up with some awesome fellow blogger.

Thanks again for putting up with me and I hope you enjoyed the posts I’ve been putting out this month.

Have you had a good October? Any plans for Halloween this evening?

A Letter To The Monster Inside

Dear Hunger Monster,

I know you’re there. You’re always there. The monster that’s always wanting to feed. Always lurking.

I keep feeding you but you never seem satisfied.

I go out of my way to try and please you. I buy you some Tesco doughnuts but  you weren’t happy with them. You punish me instead.

Enough Is Enough!

However, enough is enough! I will not succumb to your needs anymore. No more eating all of the Milky Bar. No more eating of the Chinese.

From now on you will have to be satisfied with salad for lunch. I’ll be fair and at least make them interesting for you.

I beg you, please leave me be for a couple of weeks. I promise you, you will be seen to again at Christmas. Christmas will bring all the turkey and trimmings you can handle but for now, leave me be. Please.

From your frenemy,

(Haha did you think I was going to give you a serious one today!?!)

Three Confessions

The prompt today is “Three Confessions” so I thought I’d confess to three of my weird celebrity crushes!

Sam Neill

Ahh yes Sam Neil! Jurassic Park was the film that brought him to my attention but one of his better works (in my opinion) is Merlin. It was a two-part American TV film that was filmed here in North Wales. Caused quite a stir!

Jeremy Irons

DIE HARD 3!!! Enough said!!

Alan Rickman

Ugh sad! But really, do I need to explain this one? He does nasty bastard really well and I fell for him after watching Die Hard! Then of course the nastiest of all was the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves. I mean if it wasn’t for Alan Rickman (and possibly Bryan Adams’ song) that film would be pure shite!

Have you got any weird crushes?

My Favourite Instagram Photos

Today’s Blogtober16 prompt is “Your Favourite Instagram Photo”. I love looking back through old photos so this was great as it got me looking back through my Instagram feed. I couldn’t choose just one so I’m giving you a few.

Today we delivered pink roses to my Nain (her great-Nain) #pinkroses #nain #littlemiss #ffestiniog #snowdonia

As you know I don’t put images of my girls out on the blog or social media but I will share photos like this. I love this one of Little Miss and Dadi taking flowers to my Nain.

I don’t seem to have any photos of both pups together so I give you one of my favourite ones of Megs.

Historical Buildings

Quarry Hospital Llanberis

A photo posted by Rebecca (@becsterdotcom) on

This is a difficult subject as I’m lucky to live somewhere that is knee-deep in historical buildings such as Caernarfon Castle, Harlech Castle, Beaumaris Castle etc. But the photo that first springs to mind is the quarry hospital at Llanberis. It was the very first photo on my Instagram feed so it hasn’t had much love but I love it!

Llanberis is so beautiful in the sunshine.

That time we were waiting for our table at Roar. #florida #2012 #roar #honeymoon #downtowndisney

This is a photo of hubby and I on our honeymoon in Florida. We were waiting for a table at Roar in Downtown Disney.

The finished product!

I made cake! Who doesn’t like cake? I was actually really impressed with my efforts!

Formula 1

You’d think this would’ve been a Mark Webber photo which yes I LOVE but this one I especially love as you get the feel of speed in it.

My Dream Holiday Australia

It’s no secret that I’d love to visit Australia and it’s no secret that this is probably due to watching Neighbours whilst growing up. Oh and I think The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert probably had a bit to do with it as well.

It’s also no secret that I have a thing for Aussie men! My favourite actors are Aussies – Hugh Jackman, Hugo Weaving, Richard Roxburgh etc. Oh and of course my favourite F1 driver is an Aussie (Daniel Ricciardo) and my favourite ex-F1 driver and WEC champion (Mark Webber) is an Aussie.

Melbourne Sunset

I would like to visit Melbourne in March so I could go to the Australian Grand Prix to cheer Danny Ric at his home race. Hopefully I’d bump into Mark Webber whilst I’m there.

Whilst in Melbourne I would also do all the fan-girly Neighbours stuff like the set tour. Do some stalking of Dr Karl Kennedy (who sent me a birthday video!).

Sydney Opera House

Naturally I would have to visit Sydney and get a selfie in front of the Opera House. Would I be brave enough to climb the Harbour Bridge? I doubt it but in this once in a lifetime trip I reckon I could maybe just about do it.

Uluru and Alice Springs

Uluru Ayers Rock

Also on the agenda is a trip to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Channeling Tick and Felicia I might just climb up it in a dress and fabulous heels! (If you don’t get it then you need to watch Priscilla!)

Another stop on this epic adventure would be Alice Springs. I have no idea what’s there but it’s just one of those places I’d just want to say “I’ve been there!”

Kangaroo Island and Tasmania

Kangaroo Island and Tasmania

I want to visit Kangaroo Island too – well it’s an island full of kangaroos! Would be an awesome sight to see. A trip to Tasmania would also be in order. If I’m going that far I’m going to find me a Tasmanian Devil!

Is there anywhere else in Australia you would recommend? And how about you, where would you most like to visit?
