Recently I’ve noticed that my size 14 jeans are getting a tad too tight for my liking. So I’ve been looking at why this might be the case. I’ve narrowed it down to 5 things. So here are…

5 Reasons Why I’m Fat!

1) St Pierre’s Vanilla Brioche

These things are LETHAL! They are loaded with sugar but are just SO.DAMN.NICE!! I cleared out Morrisons the other day by bulk buying the whole shelf! At least I can admit that I may have a problem… in fact I emailed my boss to tell her I had a problem. That’s the first two steps to recovery right? Admitting a problem and seeking help?

2) Chinese Takeaway


I love love LOVE Chinese takeaway! Unfortunately it’s full of fattening goodness! The above images are actually not takeaway but a sit down meal at Jade Village for our 4th wedding anniversary.

3) Love of Sausage Roll

I’ve recently rediscovered my love for sausage roll. It’s all because my normal sandwich shop had closed for some repair work so I had to walk further afield and went to the other shop. THEY HAVE SAUSAGE ROLLS!!! So I may have to visit again.

4) Untouched Running Shoes

Remember how I said I was going to take up running? Yeah that didn’t happen! These beautiful funky pink and black Fila shoes are sitting collecting dust. I really want to give it a go but given the recent bouts of illness I’m worried about my asthma.

5) Sucker for a Lollipop


Another thing I love is the traffic light lollipop. They’re 20p a pop and mmmm delicious! No bloody wonder I have to visit the dentist and have fillings done! Boo! Will it stop me eating them? NOT AT ALL! I can always get false teeth!

I hope you enjoyed this post! It’s a bit of a laugh at myself post but really, I am getting fatter and not fitter so I am going to have to do *something* but that’d be after my next Chinese takeaway!!

    Oh god I’ve just started a diet and this is making me feel hungry! I find having two children who basically eat all your food for you helps! #KCACOLS

    I am with you on 1,2 and 4. I would add wine and a cake to the list. I am not huge, a 12-14 but I can’t really blame that on having babies any more, not now that my young one is 10! #KCACOLS We have Ordinary Hopes but thin is not likely to happen!

    I’m currently on a mission to lose weight. I lost a stone before holiday and then put it back on whilst away so I’m on to lose that and a bit more. I am fat because of Chinese takeaway, savoury goods such as the humble sausage roll and laziness – I just can’t be arsed to plan and cook. Snacking is so much easier! But not at the moment, 7lb down and more to go! #KCACOLS

    I love Chinese take away as well! It is so yummy and so unhealthy… I’m trying to eat more veggies, drink more water and get to the gym whenever I can. I totally understand how you’re feeling… #KCACOLS

    Awww :))))) Try those cute running shoes and the Chinese take away, lollies and brioche will not matter. I’m starting to get fat too and I have to take action. I was fat 6 years ago (just shy of 13 stones) and I didn’t feel good, this is why I have to take action. Baking along the Bake Off doesn’t help in my case though.

    Yeh, I am always lured in by cakes. it feels like a unending battle to resist. I try and do session on then bike and then gobble cake up guilt-free. If you feel worried about running, pop the trainers on and power-walk instead! #KCACOLS

    Haha, what a great post! XD That brioche looks delicious! My vices are chips and beer. I probably should lose weight, but honestly I don’t hate my extra kilos enough to stop eating/drinking what I want 😛

    I am right in your boat… our boat is probably sinking knowing our luck.
    I see all these skinny minnies and theres me wondering why my size 14s feel snug when I was once a size bloody 12. I need to stop eating full stop, gaffa tape my mouth together and lock myself in a cupboard.

    This weeks issue- tescos ginger biscuits.

    OMG, give me some of those brioche thingies. They look like heaven!!

    My downfall is the fact that I live in the land of chocolate and cheese. I also like crisps a little tooo much. Beer is probably an issue too. But mainly I’m just lazy… I could eat allll those things and more if I would get off my backside and do some exercise!
