Due to our littlest now being 3, she has to have her own seat on a flight and so instantly our costs have risen. So I’m now one of these people who is looking for cheap flights due to a tight budget.  So if you’re like me, and wanting to get a cheap flight then just read the tips below:

Sign up for cheap flight alerts:

The very first and easiest step is to sign up to websites that provide the latest news about the rates of different flights. By signing up to these alerts you’ll find out when flight prices drop as flight prices fluctuate daily. You can receive these alerts via email, so that you can get the cheapest flight available.

Book Early:

It’s true that the closer you get to departure date, the higher the price will be. So, if you want to get a cheap flight then book your ticket as soon as possible. It is too easy to make sure that you will get the lowest price. If you’re able to book the flight within 3 months to 30 days from departure then you’re likely to get the best deals.

Be Flexible:

Try making your travel plan flexible so that you can save a bit of money. Mid week flights or on bank holidays tend to be the cheaper option. If the travel dates are flexible then try checking flights from different airports. Flexibility is one of the easiest ways to lower your flight costs.

Book a Connecting Flight:

If you are not in a hurry, then you can find your required flights easily. Use search engines to find the flights that you wanted. These engines can filter flights for you and can tell you about different routes of different flights. Flights that are using different routes might save your money.

Consider Discount Airlines:

If you are not able to book a high price flight due to your tight budget then you should consider discount airlines. Especially, when an airline is newly launched, it has many discount deals. Whenever you want to fly anywhere, check the details about airlines. If a discount airline is available then go for it. A newly launched airline may provide you flexible and easy flights depending on your destination. If you’re not in hurry, then wait for special discount offers. Keep an eye out for special days like anniversary day or silver and golden jubilee days.

Browse Airline Specials:

If you want to book any flight in final weeks, then directly deal with the airline. Sometimes, if some seats are remaining, the airline will want to sell those seats at any cost. If this is the case then you’re likely to pickup a good deal on a cheap flight – all you have to do is to find the right one.

Hopefully these tips will help you save some money on your next holiday. Where are you jetting off to next?
