Car Crash!!

At least there was a view!

Well today I had fully intended on blogging about the #BloggerBoxShare but instead I thought I’d share what happened yesterday! As you may know, hubby is currently off on paternity leave (or parental leave or whatever they call it these days!) and so normally spends his days at home with the girls. As Little Miss is in childcare on Mondays & Tuesdays he fobbed MissMostyn off to his Mum and decided to do a Keeping In Touch (KIT) day.

So yesterday morning he donned his suit on and headed off to work. Along the A55 no worries and no traffic (amazing considering the roadworks that are currently going on). After popping in to the office to pickup his briefcase (and found it wasn’t there as his colleagues had “borrowed” it) he headed off to see a client.

Happily he drove along the country roads in Denbighshire when suddenly a farmer in a Land Rover pulled out into the road and right into him. He didn’t have anywhere to go other than the hedge. Thankfully he’s fine and the car took the brunt of the damage…..

Damaged car

As the other driver admitted full responsibility the police didn’t have to be involved and now we have a courtesy car – a Nissan Juke. And now our car is in a body repair shop that’s 50 miles away! Not entirely sure when we’ll get it back but as hubby is loving the Juke so much he said he doesn’t care much!

(What’s amazing is that this happened a day after I’d read about Holly’s car crash in Canada – hers was way worse the hubby but thankfully she’s ok as well!)

Have you ever been involved in a car crash?

I’m glad he is ok x I know how it is to be involved in a car crash. In the car it feels like worse than it is. I’ve been a few car crashes with our first car, nothing major, a few drivers bumped our car at low speed.

Thanks – yeah it wasn’t a bad crash just damage to the car more than anything. I’ve had a few bumps but with walls rather than other drivers – mostly because I can’t see over the steering wheel in hubby’s car!!

    Glad he’s okay!
Jan crashed our hire car into the side of a mountain in Madeira – his first ever accident! Luckily he was going really slow so we were fine, but it kind of ruined our plans for the day.

I am as well! And I’m glad that the girls weren’t with him.

I’d imagine having a crash with a hire car in a strange country would be worse! It happened to my FIL and trying to deal with the authorities was horrible.

I know! But wasn’t half as bad as your crash! And yes thankfully insurance covers it! And because it was 100% the other driver’s fault it won’t affect our insurance either.

Perfect! Wish we were as lucky but we did pick up a really great car for peanuts tonight so I am very lucky!
