#Friday Frivolity – Olympics

How is it Friday again already?! So that means it’s time for another Friday Frivolity linky party! Today’s theme for the hosts is the Olympics since well it’s the Olympics in Rio!

If I’m honest, I’m not too bothered about the Olympics as I’m not a very sporty person. Formula 1 doesn’t qualify for the Olympics as it’s mechanically propelled sports! Ah well never mind! But I found this perfect meme for my thoughts on this year’s Olympics….

Olympics Don't Care

That’s probably a bit harsh really as I’m supporting Team GB and hope they do well. But really, I can’t get behind it.. unlike 2012 when I totally got into the buzz! So in the spirits of being happy about it, here are a couple of memes I found online..

Olympics - no Ussain Bolt?

I found this one to be really funny! But then I thought, why is he not competing?

Phelps Ouswims everyone since conception

I had to give you a Michael Phelps one – although I know there’s some better ones of THAT face!

Pokemon Go the new Olympic Sport

Well naturally I couldn’t let it slip by without a Pokemon meme (or two, or three…)

No Pokemon Go in Rio!

Phelps Rio 2016 Pokemon Meme

(Yeah THAT face!)

Are you watching the Olympics and are you enjoying it? Or are you like me, and a bit bleh about it all?

Great collection! Of course, as a swimmer, I am partial to the Phelps ones.

Bolt withdrew due to a hamstring injury.

I haven’t been following the olympics either. Jan is boycotting it and I don’t really care. Honestly I only really cared about the London one, and I only cared about that because we were hosts! #hypocrite My brother keeps posting about who’s winning medals for GB, that’s enough for me.

I am enjoying the Olympics. 4 years ago I was moving and I had no TV, so I missed everything. But now I can look and learn about different sports, it’s lovely. It made me think again about fencing as it was a sport I wanted to try for a while.

i am not super into the olympics, my husband is and so is everyone at work, so it’s on all the time, and i definitely watch a little bit here or there, but i’m not as into it as other people. i could get into it, but then i get competitive and nasty haha, so i just have it on in the background. hope you had a good weekend!

Ahh – not the best photo of that face!! I am a little into the Olympics – but only certain events. I am not as into it as when Britain were hosting either – Britain are doing so well though!
