I didn’t drop off the face of the earth! I’ve been busy with a few things over the last week! Apologies for the long post!

I went to work (to work rather than visit) last Friday for the first time since being off on maternity. It was good! I feel slightly guilty for saying it but it was great to be away from Little Miss for a couple of hours! And so great to be at work – I felt like me again! I had a brilliant chat with my boss – told him that I felt quite cut off from everyone there and he said that he hadn’t been in touch about work stuff* because he didn’t want me to feel pressured into having to do work whilst I’m off. I told him that I’d welcome some normality and for him to contact me anytime! I can’t promise I’d be of any use but I’d try!

(* he’s been in touch about non work stuff like asking how Little Miss is doing and to discuss 12 Years A Slave! My boss is great – i could talk to him all day about anything and everything!)

The lease on my car is coming to an end this month so we’ve been looking for a new car. We went to the local Ford/Renault garage on Saturday. Hubby did all the car talk with the dealer whilst I just had a gossip with him! I’ve only met him a couple of times but we talk as if we’ve known each other for years! Well technically we have as he sold me my second car. He always asks after my mam (she bought a car from him) and called her a traitor (because she didn’t buy the latest car from him)!

Anyway, we’re thinking another Fiesta or a Clio. The Clio is the better option money wise but we need to go back to test drive one. The white car in this photo is the Astra we have now.

Family Visits

The car showrooms are near to hubby’s Nain’s house so we went to visit her. She is in her mid nineties (we’re unsure if she’s 94 or 95) and has been until recently a fighter! But recently she’s given up the fight and seems so frail. Her daughter (hubby’s mother) doesn’t think she’ll be with us much longer. Although you never know with her – she’s a stubborn lady!

She had fun on Saturday watching Little Miss being a kicky pants! We also gave her some printed photos of Little Miss which brightened up her day. Nice to see her smile!

Sunny Days

It’s been a beautiful couple of days. The dogs have been out in the garden all day and I’ve managed to get all the washing done!

Today is another sunny day and we’re off out!

Welcome back! Love the pictures of Megs in the garden.

It’s sunny here too but I’m mostly at work.

Don’t feel guilty for wanting a few hours into your work life. I can only imagine how stressful raising a newborn can be, socializing with adults, especially coworkers is vital.

I have a Ford Focus and LOVE it, I’m not sure if its available in Wales, but if anything happens to it, I’m buying another one without a doubt 🙂 (Though buying/leasing a car is stressful itself!)

Gemma & Megs are toooooo cute!

Work was stressful but I thrived on it. I really love my job! Raising a newborn is a different type of stress!

Yeah we have Focuses in Wales – my mam has one and it’s great! Plenty of room for a pram and all the baby paraphernalia! Unfortunetly it’s out of our price range whilst I’m on maternity. But you’re right, changing a car is so stressful which is why I let my hubby deal with it.

      Our little cutie pies!
