I can’t believe that 2016 is over with! A lot of people would say that 2016 was a rubbish year… yes a lot of celebrity deaths (Alan Rickman!! *cries*) but lets take a look at the positives. Amy from Mummy Fox tagged me in the Big Fat Quiz of 2016!
What was your highlight of 2016?
The holiday to Lanzarote was a great time! The girls loved it! And it was Miss Mostyn’s first holiday abroad.
Another highlight was celebrating Miss Mostyn’s first birthday! It involved a very rainy weekend on which we had hired a hot tub and the dog ate the cake but even so it was a great celebration!
Managing to get tickets to see Red Dwarf being filmed on my birthday was also amazing. Unfortunately the experience didn’t quite live up to the expectations.
No the highlight for me was going to see The Tenderloins (aka Impractical Jokers) in Manchester and meeting Joe and Murr afterwards. One word – epic!
Name one thing you are most likely to remember about 2016 if asked in five years time?
Meeting Joe and Murr!
Sum up 2016 in one word
Name one pearl of wisdom from this year that you will carry with you through 2017
Hmm, life is short so we should make the most of it.
Do you have any new year resolutions?
Not really no. There are a few things I would like to do this year which I mention below. The one resolution I do have is to try and visit my hometown once a month.
How are you seeing in the new year?
We stayed up watching Only Fools and Horses on Gold! I was busy doing some bullet journaling setup and hubby was doing his Warhammer models. Geeks we may be but we are a crafty pair!
What would you most like to do in 2017?
Now don’t laugh, but I would really love to start rollerblading! I used to have a pair as a kid and loved rolling down the hills in my hometown. Getting back up them wasn’t much fun though!
What are your main goals for 2017?
Ah well as it happens I sat down on the 1st January to make a list of things I want to do this year….
- Start rollerblading
- Visit castles
- Go trampolining at Bounce Below
- Start eating healthier
- Walk the dogs more
- Start on my patchwork quilts for the girls
- Keep penpalling
- Sort out Miss Mostyn’s bedroom
- Family holiday
- Have more fun days out with the girls
- Sort out the kitchen
- Waste less food and do some meal planning
- Go skiing and get the hubby to have some snowboard lessons
- Teach my Mam how to blog
- Monthly visits to my hometown
- Read more books
- Complete Project 365
A long list but some of them are hopefully quite easy to do! I will review at the end of the year how I did.
How about you? How was your 2016? What are you looking forward to in 2017?
