These photos were taken on May 26th. They were taken on our walk in Dinorwig which is above Llanberis in Snowdonia. Whenever I refer to Electric Mountain I refer to the power station. I aim to do the tour this summer.
I promise I have other clothes but my Red Bull gear is great for walkies!
One of the old works buildings
Megs & Gemma looking at the inclines – they filmed Clash of the Titans here.
And this isn’t even the whole quarry!
A view down towards Llyn Peris
Not a good quality photo but look at the waterfall
Would love to know what has caused the difference in the colour of the slate. I’m not sure if the lake is normally up to the line.
Another view of Llyn Peris and Electric Mountain entrance.
And another of Llyn Peris
The little turret in the middle is something to do with Electric Mountain. You can actually feel the power when stood here.
This sign is on the other side of the fence…..
…. and these monkeys were climbing just past the sign!
Footpath will be closed for a week for filming. Not sure what they’re filming but should be interesting!
Love these signs dotted around the place!
And it keeps going down – can’t see the bottom from here!
Llyn Peris and looking back towards Llanberis
Another incline – this could be where they filmed Clash of the Titans.
The mountain ahead is Snowdon – highest mountain in Wales. We turned around here.
Side view of the last incline
I’m fascinated by this little hole!
On the way back
A more detailed look of the turret – amazing feeling stood here.
Rubbish photo but zoomed in to see the goats. Never seen them before.
Another memorial to the quarrymen.
