Pregnancy Update

IMG_0583.JPG

I’m not sure when I last posted a pregnancy update but here’s the latest.

I’m now 32 weeks and I feel huge! I’m suffering from a bit of backache and heartburn. Also suffering from thrush which is the worst! Due to feeling huge and having back problems I can’t put Little Miss to bed anymore which is making me super emotional.

On Friday I had an appointment with a consultant to discuss birthing options. The reason for this is because Little Miss was an emergency a c-section. The consultant said that the operation notes stated that the failed labour was due to position of Little Miss in the womb and therefore there’s no reason why I can’t have a normal delivery this time.

So the birthing plan is now we’ll try a normal delivery if it happens naturally before due date +10. If at +10 nothing had happened then they’ll try to break my waters and then if labour doesn’t progress then we’ll go for a c-section.

Finally the consultant measured me and said baby was 26cm which was 2cm smaller than 2 weeks ago. Of course this is a worry . I had to then go see the student midwife to check my bloods and she said that I looked bigger than 26cm. So my midwife measured me and said I measured 28.5cm. It still not following the normal growth chart so I now have to have a growth scan on monday.

All fun and games this time around!!

Thank you! I’m 33 weeks this week so not long at all. Sitting in the maternity unit today brought all the anxiety of the birth back to me though! Eeek!
