The Week That Was

Linking up with The Lotus Creative for Daily Diaries again this week with a recap of the week.

It’s the first time in what feels like months that I’ve actually done a full week of work. In between half days to take Little Miss swimming and funerals and weddings etc I think I haven’t done a full week of work in the last month!

Monday was pretty uneventful. On Tuesday I had to go drop off my cross stitch project for framing so I decided to have lunch by the castle. The framers said it would cost me £28 each to frame and they’ll be ready in a week! I shall post a photo when I get them back! I actually can’t wait to see them all mounted and framed – it’ll be the first time I get a cross stitch project framed. Exciting stuff!

Wednesday saw my Nain (on my Dad’s side) reach the grand old age of 81! I sent a card in the post and phoned her to wish her happy birthday. My Dad had arranged to take her out for a meal – we hadn’t been invited and I’m extremely pissed off with that! We’ll see Nain in a week’s time and she can have her present then – I’ve developed some photos from my cousin’s wedding and framed a photo of her with my Dad and his sister.

On Thursday the dogs had an appointment at the vets for their booster shots and kennel cough injection. Since we are going away next month the pups are off on their holibobs to the kennels and she won’t allow them to stay unless their vaccinations are all up to date. The trip to the vets was erm, fun! Gemma got all panicky for some reason – she’s normally fine so no idea what was up with her yesterday. The vet said that she’s too fat – something we already knew since she eats everything in sight! So we’re now cutting their food to one meal a day.

Today my car was going in for a service at the garage near work. So I had to catch the bus for the last mile or so of my journey. My friendly bus driver was on duty this morning so I got to have a catch up with him. Work was the usual. Hubby phoned me after lunch to say the he’d lost Mr Bwns!! This was a DISASTER since Little Miss will only nap with him! So I spent a few minutes to see if I could order a new one but got distracted by the fact that there are tons of different versions! I guess Little Miss will be collecting these! Here’s a few of my favourites!

This evening we had faggots, chips and cauliflower/brocolli cheese for supper and it was super yummy! Mmmmmm! Took dogs for a walk. Little Miss had a bath and went to sleep quite early. We then sat down and watched some Pointless. We have two weeks worth of episodes to get through! So currently I’m watching the 3 episode with a cup of tea and an egg custard tart. Megs and Gemma are snuggled up on the sofa with hubby. Ahhh happy days!

How has your week been?

So cool that you got your cross stitch project framed, I hope it looks fantastic! 🙂 What kind of dogs do you have? I’ve wanted a bichon frise ever since I was a child, but it looks like I’ll have to wait until I have a house of my own before I can get one.

Also, those Mr Bwns stuffed animals are SOO cute – I’m tempted to buy one myself haha

I’m so excited to get them back. Can’t wait to see what they look like!

We have a Beagle and a Jack Russell Terrier. I hope you get your Bichon Frise one day. Dogs are great little creatures even if they’re hard work.

Oh I know I love Mr Bwns! They’re actually called “Bashful Bunnies” and you can get other animals but the bunnies seem to be most popular. It’s funny because when I was a kid I had a rabbit toy as well!

It really really isn’t! But thankfully it was found and she’s been clining on to it for dear life ever since! She’s getting a new one for Christmas but no doubt the original will be the favourite!
