This Little Big Life – Celebrating the Weekend Moments

It’s time for another This Little Big Life post where we celebrate the weekend moments. I’ve been rather quiet on the blog of late which has been due to being ill. We’ve all had a bug and a cold so evenings have been spent going to bed early. The weekends are the only time we get now so here’s how we spent last weekend. As ever skip the video for the photos….

On Saturday we went to The Grill at the Royal Oak for a birthday meal with hubby’s family. The food was really nice! Would definitely recommend it. I had a message from an old friend from London saying that he was in Llandudno later that afternoon.

Food at the Royal Oak

So we went to Llandudno but stopped by Surf Snowdonia to have a nosey. It looks like such fun! It’s incredible what they’ve done with the place. I remember the aluminium works that were there previously. Such a transformation! And I am glad that something has been done with the place!

Surf Snowdonia & Caer Rhun Hall

From there we headed towards Llandudno and we had heard there was a Pokemon meetup in Happy Valley. Yes, I am a Pokemon Go player and I have no shame! There was a large crowd of people at Happy Valley and it was great! Everyone was just mingling and you had all sorts there – young kids through to pensioners all playing.  Every so often someone would shout something and the crowd would all move… I believe the excitement came when an Onix was spotted. Haha great time!

Happy Valley & Llandudno Pier

On the way back to the car we walked along the pier. It was rather late in the day so all the shops were closing up but I’m rather surprised that we’ve never spent time there with the girls. I remember many a happy days there as a child.

On the way back home on Saturday we drove through Conwy and found that there were so many Pokestops that we decided to have a day out on Sunday. As Cadw members we can access the Castle for free. Unfortunately we couldn’t find the cards but the lovely lady at the desk let us in anyway!

Exploring Conwy Castle

We spent a couple of hours wandering around the Castle. I took so many photos and I’ll post another Photo Days post with them all. Little Miss walked around the castle looking for Meic Y Marchog (Mike The Knight) and at one point I caught her phoning Ryder to ask the Paw Patrol to help find him! Ahh the innocence of little minds.

Smallest House In Britain

After the Castle we walked down to the front and saw the outside of the Smallest House in Greta We didn’t go in but we might go next time.

How was your weekend?

Pokemon meetups? It’s nice that there are meetups, I believed it was a lonely game. Conwy looks lovely. We are buying desserts from a small bakery on the road between the castle and the Aberconwy house. The smallest house in Britain is fab, I visited it and it’s amazing how many things could fit in it.

As the parent of a full time wheelchair user I see way too many steps for us to visit but it looked like a great day out. #KCACOLS

Sounds like a lovely weekend! I’ve not heard of Pokemon meet ups – how cool that you managed to stumble into one. I play every now and then when I remember but my eldest knows more about what to do with it than I do!

Thank you for linking up to #KCACOLS and I hope to see you back again next week xx

Wow what a lovely weekend! I love Pokemon Go (not that I have really played it) but I think it has done some great things this summer! I love that there were people of all ages enjoying it! #KCACOLS
