Well in between participating in Blogtober14 and being busy at work I very nearly forgot about this month’s A Day In The Life… a great little link up hosted by Manda at Musicalpoem
Original date scheduled per my calendar was the 30th however I opted to do the 29th since it was mildly more interesting than a plain old work day!!
Got up at around 6.30 – 7am as per usual. Rushed around like a headless chicken trying to get everyone ready. This consisted of having a shower, waking Little Miss, getting her dressed and fed, feeding dogs and having a quick slice of toast and a cup of tea before going to work.
Arrived at work at 9 on the dot. A couple of minutes late leaving home meant I was stuck behind a lorry all the way to work!
Since I had a half day I only spent 3.5 hours at work. Not much I can report from there. Reviewed a set of accounts which had an interesting problem.
Left work at 12.30pm and headed for home. Once home hubby and I had a Pot Noodle each and gave Little Miss her food.
After lunch we went down to the drop in clinic to see the health visitor because Little Miss had a very bad nappy rash. Thankfully it was the nice HV on duty. We had a good catch up and she said that Little Miss is doing great. Little Miss is now 73cm in length and weighs 20lbs 6ozs. HV gave us some cream for the rash – it cleared up within a day!
We then went to Asda and bought Little Miss a Halloween dress. I’d already bought her a little tutu vest saying “little pumpkin” but the dress was to be put over it.
We returned home, gave her a bottle and then went out for a meal and to see my Mam. Everyone thought that my little pumpkin was gorgeous! We had a very nice meal and the pancake was lovely!
Then we went home and out Little Miss straight to bed. Wether did the usual of catching up with Neighbours and watched this week’s The Apprentice. I’m sure that the candidates are getting worse every year! My tip for this year’s winner is James.
So that was my A Day In The Life for October! See you all next month!
