So first off, HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a teenager I developed a love for all things Irish. I think it was all Boyzone<\/a>‘s fault!! Although to be fair I was completely fascinated by the fact that I’m 1\/8 Irish – Taid’s Dad (so my great-grandad) was originally from Stepaside, Dublin.<\/p>\n

Yes so as a teen I was very much into the Irish music scene. I loved all the Irish groups – Boyzone<\/a>, B*Witched, Westlife & The Corrs (who are making a comeback!). I’ve been listening to these a lot recently and it just instantly takes me back to my teens. Ahh happy days!<\/p>\n

My favourite tv show was Ballykissangel and I couldn’t wait until Sunday evenings so I could watch it. I used to watch it in the days of “Danny Byrne” aka Colin Farrell. Yup he started in the small screen you know!<\/p>\n

And then thinking back I also loved the film “Waking Ned Devine<\/a>” about an Irish village trying to claim the lotto winnings of a deceased resident – he dies as he finds out he’s won the jackpot! It’s a light hearted film and quite enjoyable. Surprisingly I believe it was filmed in the Isle of Man and not in Ireland. Must have been better tax breaks in IOM!<\/p>\n

There wasn’t much point to this post other than to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and on that note I’ll leave you with this gem of a song by Sham Rock!<\/p>\n
