At 9.15am tragedy struck when an avalanche of coal waste engulfed the\u00a0Pantglas Primary School. 116 children were lost that day and 28 adults.<\/p>\n<p>50 years on Wales remembers those that were lost.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll admit that reading these articles on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-wales-south-east-wales-37689736\" target=\"_blank\">BBC News<\/a> page brought tears to my eyes. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/cymrufyw\/37620137\" target=\"_blank\">photos of the disaster<\/a> are especially upsetting.
