I can’t quite believe that it’s October! So before I completely let go of Summer, let me run through my Summer Highlights of 2018! Scroll to the bottom if you’d rather watch the highlights…<\/p>\n

British Grand Prix<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Four<\/p>\n

Of course the Summer kicked off with our trip to the British Grand Prix. If you’ve read the post or seen the video, then you’ll know we had a great time! Loved the sights and sounds of the F1 circus and even though I’m not the biggest Hamilton fan, it was exciting to be there to witness a British driver win on home soil. Although let’s be honest, seeing Mark Webber win at Silverstone in 2012 was pretty epic!<\/p>\n

Tenerife<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

Our annual family holiday saw us go to Tenerife. We had a great time! Spent most of the week at Siam Park<\/a> where both little kids and big kids had fun on the waterslides. Husband and I managed to get a day to ourselves so we could go up Mount Teide for my “Dilyn Taid i Teide” pilgrimage! The hotel was lovely and the food was just amazing! It was such a good holiday that we’re going back again next year!<\/p>\n

Lost Castles Liverpool<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

The lovely Anca and her husband invited us to go see the Lost Castles<\/a> in Liverpool. The event was the brainchild\u00a0of French artist\u00a0Olivier Grosset\u0207te. The idea was to create monumental structures based on historic structures which were in the region at one time. We managed to see four of the six castles – Knowsley Safari Park, Norton Priory, Bootle and Williamson Square in Liverpool itself.<\/p>\n

Ruthin<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Tom<\/p>\n

We visited Ruthin and went for a walk around the town. So I finally got to see the Tom Pryce<\/a> memorial. For those of you who don’t know, he was a Welsh F1 driver who sadly lost his life at the South Africa Grand Prix in 1977. If reports are to believed, he could’ve been one of the greats and according to a 2016 study, he was listed as the 28th greatest F1 driver of all time. Not bad for a boy from Ruthin eh?<\/p>\n

Sioe Mon<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

We attended Sioe Mon with work again this year. We had a photobooth setup. So many people came to see it – we had a great time! I also picked up some nice beef steaks and some chutney from some of the local food stalls in the Food Hall. Very nice it was too!<\/p>\n

Caernarfon Pirate Weekend<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

The Caernarfon Pirate Weekend was a must for our house as littlest loves pirates! And if truth be told, I’m quite partial to Ben Dant myself! We had a great morning testing our local knowledge with the treasure hunt. The girls had fun on the bouncy castle and there was plenty of entertainment around. All in all, a good day!<\/p>\n

Beach Views<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Aberdesach<\/p>\n

I was determined to have a day of rollerblading so one Friday afternoon I went home early so I could go rollerblading. I parked up ready to go but found I didn’t have my helmet! So instead I sat on the beach for a bit just taking in the view of Yr Eifl mountains.<\/p>\n

That wasn’t the only beach views though, we took a trip to Conwy Morfa and Llanfairfechan promenade as well.<\/p>\n

Blue Planet Aquarium<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"A<\/p>\n

Not sure why we ended up in Blue Planet Aquarium but why not? It’s not the first time we’ve been and no doubt it won’t be the last time. We loved watching the sharks and sting rays in the walkthrough.<\/p>\n

Greenwood<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Husband<\/p>\n

Whenever we were at a loose end we would pop over to Greenwood Forest Park. The girls love it! There’s so much for them to do there – outside play areas, a maze, bikes, bouncy castle<\/p>\n

Llanberis<\/h3>\n

\"Llyn<\/p>\n

Another favourite haunt of ours is Llanberis. On the last day of the Summer holidays I took the girls to Llanberis. We walked along the lakeside, had ice cream and spent time in the park. Just a simple inexpensive day out which they loved. The wonderful sunny day was a big help as well!<\/p>\n
