Early Start Again

Early start this morning. Up at 6.45am so we can watch the Korean Grand Prix. Didn’t watch qualifying yesterday but Mark Webber qualified 3rd but started 13th due to a grid penalty following the taxi incident of the last race. It’s currently lap 21 of 55 and he’s up to 8th with a good shot on a podium.

After the race we’re off to Ikea to buy some shelves and get some more storage ideas. I’ll be back later with photos!

Well what a wreckage the Grand Prize ended up being! Webber managed to get a puncture and had to pit an extra time for new tyres. He then fell back into traffic and after the 2nd safety car occurrence Sutil span into him causing massive damage to the side pod and Webber’s car caught fire! After all his hard work he didn’t even get to cross the finish line! So cruel! And to top it all off that little shit (Vettel) went on to win. Again!

So yes Ikea! We went to Ikea. Normally I quite enjoy mooching around but today there were too many people. And I was tired and impatient! We started off having a look at some armchairs as we need one for the nursery. We found a nice one but we’d have to pay £50 extra to get in a neutral colour. Would have ended up costing us £135. So we decide to go have a look in our local charity shop or reclaims yard. It was a very comfy chair though as modelled by the hubby!

We did get the shelves we were after but it did mean I had to sit in the back on the way home!20131006-213319.jpg

Here’s us trying to put them together. Even the dogs helped out by carting away the cardboard! 20131006-213449.jpg20131006-213506.jpg20131006-213527.jpg20131006-213549.jpg

And as a reward I cooked us a lovely chicken dinner!

It sounds like you had a busy yet eventful day. 🙂 I am sorry to hear that you were not able to find a chair for use in the nursery, but it seems as if the shelves were a big success with the dogs. Your dinner also looks super yummy! 😀

It was a busy day but a good one thanks. The dogs are still helping with the cardboard removal! They’re not too keen on the shelves themselves though. The dinner was very yummy! 🙂
