RIP Robin Williams
I was shocked to hear the sad news about Robin Williams last week. I happened to be online when the story broke – it was around 1am here in the UK when I read it and I woke my hubby up to tell him. We were just so shocked!
He was in a lot of my favourite films when I was growing up. I think this article pretty much sums it up! (Except for Dead Poets Society – never seen that one).
Well since the news broke there tv channels have been showing a lot of Robin Williams films. So it makes sense for me to discuss them.
First up has to be Mrs Doubtfire. I know that this film is known as a “crap film” but if truth be told, I LOVE it! I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it! It’s one of my guilty pleasures! Robin Williams was just pure genius in it. To this day I can’t sing the normal lyrics for “I Feel Good”.
Next up would be Hook! Not only was Robin Williams in it but also the late great Bob Hoskins. So it was doubly good!
And then one of my favourite Disney films – Aladdin – in which Robin Williams voiced the Genie character.
The most amazing thing I’ve seen in this last week has to be this photo…. AMAZING!!
A proper tribute to a man who inspired me to be as weird and mad as he was. R.I.P The One Robin Williams #robinwilliams #rip #actor #comedian #original #drawing #sketch #art #pencil #movies #childhood #favourites #mrsdoubtfire #flubber #jumanji #aladdin #genie #aartistic_dreamers
Ahhh I can’t get over this year – we’re losing the greats! Harold Ramis, Bob Hoskins, Rik Mayall and now Robin Williams. 🙁
