*** My Dream Shopping Basket ***

I’ve talked about home improvements quite often on the blog. I’ve always said I’d LOVE to re-do our kitchen but things have happened that may force me to do it now. On Sunday my husband put his foot through our kitchen ceiling! Normally that would be a simple patch it up job but as our ceiling has been artexed, a simple patch it up job just won’t cut the mustard this time. So this got me thinking, why not go the whole hog and re-do the kitchen.

The trouble is, is that what I want spend my money on? What’s really in my dream shopping basket?

Home Improvements

Top of the list has to be home improvements…. the kitchen is a must thanks to the hole in the ceiling. In fact I have just received a quote of how much my new kitchen will cost and the plans. Pretty spectacular! If I had a bigger budget I would add an extension on to the kitchen and have bi-folding doors opening on to the garden.

But it’s not the only thing that I would do. If I could afford it, I’d love to get a loft conversion done. The loft conversion would be ideal… would give us all some extra room. Plus a balcony looking towards Snowdon…. oh the dream!

Holiday Home

But not for me, for others. I would love to buy another house in Blaenau Ffestiniog to let out. Blaenau Ffestiniog is up-and-coming thanks large part to the adventure tourism kickstarted by ZipWorld. It’s the perfect place to buy a furnished holiday let – property prices are still low but there’s an influx of tourists so the demand for furnished holiday lets is on the rise. I’m constantly browsing through Rightmove looking for that perfect property. There is one property that I would absolutely adore to own – Plas Y Dduallt – but there’s no way on earth I could ever raise the deposit for it never mind buy it!

Having said that though, a holiday home in Tenerife would also be veeeeery nice!

Epic Holiday

If I was to splash the cash then I would book us all an epic holiday to Walt Disney World in Florida. The girls would absolutely love to see Mickey Mouse and friends. Who am I kidding? I would love to see them again! We were lucky enough to go on our honeymoon to Walt Disney World back in 2012 (where I took the above photo).

Also, I would love to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy stuff they’re doing in Epcot. Big fan of Guardians here and it wasn’t there when we there back in 2012. Plus we never visited Epcot in 2012. It didn’t appeal much to us but having talked to people afterwards I think we might have missed out on a good one.
