You know, if we were trying to meet up for real life coffee it looks like is be hopeless since I’ve not managed to post on Friday for the last couple of dates! So here’s another Coffee Date Friday (albeit on a Sunday!) with Jenna!
Baby
Since our last Coffee Date, our beautiful baby girl arrived via an emergency c-section on 11th July.
She is a beauty and looks more like my family whereas Little Miss looked more like hubby’s family.
Unfortunately MissMostyn is grumpier than Little Miss and constantly wants cuddling. I’m not complaining as such but it’s just very annoying that I can’t put her down!
#PartyAtTheAngel
I’ve bought my ticket for #PartyAtTheAngel which is a blogger event which is being held in Cardiff on September 13th. It’s being organised by Ffion, Charlotte and Rachel.
I’m all equally excited and equally nervous about this event! Excited because it’s my first blogger event and nervous because it’s my first blogger event! I’m actually a shy person and walking into a room of people I don’t know kinda terrifies me! Also I’m not a very fashionable person (my current fashion is maternity jeans and a hoodie or pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt) and I know all the ladies going will be super trendy!
So in the interest of not making a complete tit of myself I’ve been looking at potential outfits. I need something comfy since I’m still in the childbirth recovery zone! Here’s what I’ve come up with – and yes I am cheap, most of my clothes come from Tesco or Asda! If truth be told I really like the £34.00 lace top but I’m thinking it’s too expensive for me – but on the other hand, I could wear it to work so I should get some use from it. Anyhow, what do you reckon? Oh and yes I have a thing for pretty shoes! These ones I already own and have made a number of appearances at various weddings!
I’m also planning on going to a couple of other events over the next month or so. On September 7th, Mark Webber is doing a book signing at Waterstones Trafford Centre. You know I’m going to that right?!
Then on October 10th & 11th we’re hoping to get to Grand Designs Live in Birmingham. It’s a home improvement event with a lot of stalls selling various different products and services. We’ve been going every year (except for last year because we were in Malta). This year we’re going for two days but are determined not to get sucked in to promises and sales pitches (again!).
Acer Aspire 10E 2 in 1 Laptop
(source)
We went to Currys PC World yesterday to browse but ended up seriously considering buying the Acer Aspire 10E laptop. My iPad has become slow and I find it difficult to blog on it now. I don’t want to spend too much on replacing it so buying an iPad is not feasible at the moment. So I’m thinking an early Christmas present maybe? Also, which colour do I go for? I can get it in pink, purple, blue, taupe, red or white – I know purple is my favourite colour but I’m actually quite taken by the blue!
So what have you been up to lately?
Oooh, that necklace is gorgeous!
We went to Ikea yesterday and there are various other furniture shops in the same area so we finally managed to buy a light for my “office” plus a few other bits.
First blogging event is exciting and terrifying. It will be great.
And don’t forget your business cards 🙂
Have fun at the event lovely, you’ll be fine! I know what you mean though, the first walking in bit is always the hardest!
Stevie
Thank you! I know I’m not the only one who feels anxious about walking in on my own so I’m hoping to meet up with some at the station or something! x
Thank you! I hadn’t even thought of business cards – I’ve ordered some now! 🙂
It is really pretty! EBay has some great stuff on it! 🙂
We really need to visit Ikea before Christmas – need some furniture for Little Miss’ room!
