(If only this was my image! How wonderful does this food look?!)

I’m trying to meal plan again so I don’t end up spending on unnecessary food (whichI’ll end up wasting). So I’ve been thinking and here’s the plan for this week:

Monday

Toad In The Hole – sausage and yorkshire pudding with chips and beans. This is hubby’s forte!

Tuesday

Sausage and leek casserole – with some leftover sausages from monday as I bought a bigger pack of sausages than normal and have a lot of leeks in the fridge that need using.

Wednesday

Gammon with roasted veg – Gammon was on multi buy in Tesco so I have another two of them to use (currently in the freezer). I also made some roasted veg yesterday which was a success so I’ll do that again so I can use up the remaining veg in the fridge.

 Thursday

This evenings food! Chargrilled chicken and homemade mushroom and onion wild rice #food

Chicken chargrills with fried rice – I’ve done this before and love it and we’ve not had it in a while so time for another dose!

Friday

Chicken korma and rice – unfortunately I don’t know how to make my own korma sauce so I have a jar of Lloyd Grossman’s ready made sauce to throw on some chicken.

Let’s see hoe this week’s meal plan is adhered to! Wish me luck!

Do you do weekly meal planning?

  1. This all sounds yummy! And you reminded me that we haven’t had toad in the hole in aaages!

  2. It’s great you made a meal plan. I would love to have everything organized, but I usually cook what I think of at that moment.

  3. Honestly I’m not that organised! I just try to be but normally I end up failing! But so far we’re doing well! Sausage casserole is in the slow cooker as we speak 🙂

  4. I like my food! 🙂 Toad in the hole is great! Especially during these cold miserable winter months. Definitely comfort food in my opinion.
