Boyzone – Favourite Concert

Boyzone - The Best Concerts

I have no shame in admitting that I was am a Boyzone fan. I’ve been lucky enough to go to a number of their concerts over the years.

A Different Beat Tour

I remember the first one was at Birmingham arena. It was so overwhelming for me but still an incredible experience.

That concert was part of the A Different Beat tour so must have been 1998. I remember this because the Boyz did their Grease Medley. It was recorded and released as a bonus track on their “I Love The Way You Love Me” single. Anyhow, if you love Boyzone and gthe Grease songs then this tour was definitely the tour for you. (Unfortunately I have no photos nor videos from this one)

Better Tour

I also managed to go see the Boyz in Manchester for the Better tour. This was their comeback tour and sadly the last tour for Stephen Gately. I’m so glad I saw this tour as it was fantastic and I was such a Steo fan! I managed to get a few decent photos of them:

Brother Tour

I managed to get tickets to this tour and it was so great to see them… but very sad because Stephen was sorely missed. It was all so raw and emotional. I’ll admit I cried when they did the tribute to Stephen.

Where We Belong Tour

However, if I’m judging the best concert in terms of fun I think the very best one has to be the Where We Belong tour circa 1998. I booked last minute tickets and went with my friend, aunt and cousin. We were sat right at the back of MEN Arena and the Boyz were tiny dots on stage. But we had an amazing time signing and dancing! If you know me, then you’ll know I DO NOT DANCE…. unless it’s at a Boyzone concert!

What has been your favourite/best concert?

You must have been so close to the stage to have managed those photos!
