I’m not normally a Monday blues type of girl but you know when you wake up and think “it’s going to be one of them days”? Well it was!
Little Miss wasn’t too well last night – had the runs and was hot and irritable. We phoned NHS Direct and they said to keep an eye on her and give her Calpol to reduce her tempreature. This morning she woke up as bright as a button so I though “great carry on as normal”.
I took her down to the nuresry and as I dropped her off she started crying which isn’t like her. I mentioned the runs to them and they said that if she had them again this morning then she wouldn’t be allowed to stay. I then found that I had left Mr Bwns in the car and had to run back to get him! It was at this point I though”urgh bugger!”.
By now I was running late to work! I got to the office, managed to phone HMRC and a brief chat to my boss. I was just about to pour myself a cup of tea when the phone rang saying it was the nursery wanting me to pick her up.
Leaving the office I get my Mam to phone the surgery to get an appointment but they’re fully booked and tell me to go in and wait. When I got to the surgery there was a notice saying
Due to GP shortages, surgeries are running late
Not what I wanted to see! But in the end I got to go in quite quickly. Doctor said that she has a viral infection and gave her some fungal cream to try and clear another infection. Hopefully this will clear it all up so she can go back to nursery next week. She isn’t allowed to go tomorrow so hubby is off so I can go to work!
And now it’s 12.51pm and I’ve finally sat down with a cup of tea whilst she has a nap! Honestly, I love her to bits and she is the most gorgeous thing in the world but on occasions it is hard work! But well worth it!
How’s your Monday going?
Poor Little Miss. I hope she’s better soon.
Thanks – so do I! She’s proper cranky this afternoon!
oh I hate it when that happens; is she doing better?
She’s much better thanks! Rash has gone and will be back in nursery on monday! Yay!
Good to hear!
