Date Night Movie Night!

In my last post I mentioned I was planning a Date Night Movie Night – well unfortunately I hadn’t factored in the fact that Nain & Taid are on holiday this week! So my actual Date Night Movie Night is going to have to wait. Boo! So instead I’ll share my idea of a perfect Date Night Movie Night with you.

You can’t watch movies unless you’ve got a decent setup. If I had spare money I know hubby would love to upgrade our current TV to this curved 4k Panasonic Viera set. I’m sure the image quality would be outstanding! Also because it’s curved I’d imagine the sound would be pretty spectacular as well.

Movies - Jurassic Park & Pitch Perfect

Have to have some movies right?! Assuming kiddiwinks are with Nain & Taid we could watch anything we wanted. My current personal choice would be Jurassic Park which would then lead on to Jurassic World (released October 26th – can’t wait!).

Or I would love to watch Pitch Perfect & Pitch Perfect 2 since it’s just been released on BluRay last week – and I’m yet to get it (shock!).

Alternatively we could always watch some fab 80s films – and I can’t believe I missed Who Framed Roger Rabbit? off that list!

Food, Snacks & Drinks

Pizza Rolls

Possibly a Chinese takeaway or instead I could make these awesome pizza rolls – recipe coming up soon!

Of course, can’t have a movie night without popcorn (Tesco own brand is fab!) – sweet for me, sweet & salted for hubby. And some chocolate 0 preferably Malteasers so hubby can do his Malteasers & popcorn sharing tub (best thing he’s ever invented he says).

As for drinks, it’d have to be either a can of Vimto or Schweppes Lemonade for me and for the hubby a Pepsi Max or if he’s wanting something stronger a pint of Fosters.

We’d snuggle up under the blanket, in our dressing gowns on our huge corner sofa. Trouble is, if it’s too comfy then I’m likely to fall asleep. Although that would be nice at the moment!

What is your idea of a prefect movie night?

I haven’t watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit in years!
My perfect movie night would involve introducing Jan to another classic film that he’s never seen. Alternatively we would watch The Princess Bride again because it’s amazing and needs to be watched at least once a year.

It’s been on Sky Movies recently so I’ve seen it a couple of weeks ago. I’ve never seen The Princess Bride! *hangs head in shame*

My perfect movie night right now would be checking into a 5 star hotel, having a swim, followed by a lovely bath, ordering in and snuggling on the King size bed with our robes and watching a movie, maybe something funny, then sleep. But tonight we have a house full of my kids and my nephews and we are watching a kids movie all together. So back to reality! But still I love being with the kids too (most of the time lol) #justanotherlinky

That sounds like a great night! We love our movie nights too and just so you know (if you haven’t seen it already) Jurassic World is Fab! We bought it recently and watched it two nights ago. 🙂
I love nights in watching movies but I think my ultimate date night would be a lovely restaurant meal at either Jaime’s Italian or Harts in Nottingham and then head home to watch a great movie. 🙂
